Brandon Demitruk, Vice President of Finance and Facilities at Teachers Credit Union, has been named to the South Bend Regional Chamber’s Michiana Forty Under 40 Class of 2020.
In addition to leading TCU’s financial planning, reporting and accounting, Brandon oversees the buildings and grounds at TCU’s nearly 60 facilities across Indiana and southwest Michigan, almost half of which have been remodeled during his tenure. That includes an extensive 14-month renovation of TCU’s 60,000 square-foot corporate headquarters.
As a volunteer with Junior Achievement, Brandon holds monthly sessions for fifth-grade students at South Bend’s Christ the King School, teaching them about saving and budgeting so they can build a foundation for a secure financial future.
He’s deeply committed to conserving natural resources and wildlife habitats. A six-time Angler of the Year in the Polish National Alliance Fisherman’s Club, one of Indiana’s oldest fishing clubs, Brandon volunteers with both the PNA Fisherman’s Club and the Anchor Conservation Club of South Bend to support their activities to introduce recreational fishing to newcomers and to instill in them an understanding of environmental best practices. He also coaches baseball at Chet Waggoner Little League, offering the lessons of the sport that have served him well in his life to a new generation of players.
“He displays tireless dedication to members and his colleagues, but somehow finds time to contribute to so many worthy organizations as well,” TCU Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Todd Brown says. “Brandon represents TCU’s highest ideals in its business endeavors and community mission.”
Michiana Forty under 40 recognizes 40 of the region's most talented and dedicated young leaders who are successful in their careers and dedicated to community engagement.
