Originally founded in 1931 as Teachers Credit Union by a group of teachers in South Bend, TCU has 54 locations and more than 300,000 members across Indiana and Michigan, making us one of the region's largest credit unions. NBSB's Bill Pay will no longer be available. Payees added before May 28 will automatically move to TCU's Bill Pay.

Last day to download account statements online.

Last day branches will operate as NBSB. Online Banking becomes view-only for retail members and will no longer be available for business members.

You can start using your TCU debit cards & checks. Make sure you securely destroy your old NBSB cards & checks.

Here are answers to questions you may have:

All three NBSB branches will remain open and their hours will not change. Additionally, you will be able to reach TCU’s member
call center at (800) 552-4745 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST M-F and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST.

You will be provided with a membership number as well as new account numbers for all your accounts and loans. You may have more than one membership based on the ownership of your NBSB accounts.

You may receive more than one membership based on the ownership of your accounts. Memberships are created with one
primary member and other members (typically a spouse or other family member) added as a secondary member. As an example,
if a secondary member of a membership opens additional products or services under only their name, a new membership would be added with this person as the primary member.

A primary share account is a savings account that is required by all members of a credit union. If you have a statement savings account with NBSB, it will automatically transition to a primary share with TCU. If you do not, you will need to complete the
application for membership and one will be opened for you. A $5 minimum balance is required to maintain your membership.
TCU will be funding the $5 on your behalf. In this case, a signature card and instructions will be included with your new
member letter.

Yes, all checking account holders will receive a free order of TCU checks prior to the transition date. The checks will include TCU’s routing number and your new account/ACH number. You may continue to use your NBSB checks until June 5 and start using your new TCU checks on June 6.

Yes, they will transition into a Choice Savings Account which provides more flexibility. You can change the account name to reflect your savings goal. There is no minimum balance requirement or early withdrawal fee. Plus, online banking offers many options for scheduling automatic transfers when you are ready for the funds.

Yes, your debit card number will change. You will receive a new TCU debit card prior to the transition date. You may continue to use your NBSB debit cards until June 5, at which time you should destroy your old card. Start using your new TCU debit card on June 6. If you have scheduled any recurring automatic payments with businesses or retailers, be sure to update your card information.

Your recurring and future dated transfers and bill payment items will be transferred to your TCU Online Banking account as long as the payees were added by May 28.

To receive statements and notices by email, you will need to enroll in TCU eStatements. Log in to Online Banking and select
Settings and then eDocuments from the menu.

TCU follows the Federal Reserve guideline for Regulation D, which limits the number of electronic transfers that can be made from a savings or money market account. Six electronic transfers are allowed each month with a fee assessed for additional transfers.
Any transactions performed in person, at an ATM or through the US Mail do NOT count toward the 6 per month limit.*

* The Federal Reserve has temporarily suspended the limit on transfers due to the pandemic.

TCU is a member of the CO-OP shared branch network which lets you take care of your banking at more than 5,000 credit union branches nationwide. Additionally, you can access more than 700 no-fee ATMS across Indiana and southwestern Michigan and more than 30,000 reduced-fee ATMs nationwide. Online & Mobile Banking

On or after June 8, simply download TCU’s Mobile App or visit tcunet.com and click LOGIN. You can use your current
user ID and will need to create a new password.

To set up your online banking, a secure access code will be delivered to you through your selected preference of phone, email or text. Once you receive the code, you will be prompted to enter the code. After the code is entered you will be asked if you would like to register this device. If you select yes, you should not have to repeat this step each time you log in.

You will see all accounts listed under a membership. If you have more than one membership, you will have separate Online
Banking accounts for each membership.

Online Banking users can initiate transfers from any TCU membership to another TCU membership using the Member to Member transfer option located under ‘Transfers and Payments’ in Online Banking.

Transaction history in online banking is available for 24 months.

TCU eStatements and enotices are available for 36 months.

Yes, simply log into Online Banking click Settings > Account Preferences.

Your information can be updated by clicking on Settings and Contact Information.

To set up alerts in Online Banking click on Settings and select Manage Alerts. We offer account, history, online transactions and
security alerts.

Log into the TCU Mobile App and click Menu > Settings > eDeposit Enrollment. Once you are enrolled, select Deposit a Check from the main menu and follow the instructions. $200 is available the next business day, the remaining funds will be available in
2 business days.
