











TCU recently donated $2,500 to 4 charities at a local event in Beech Grove. 100 percent of all funds raised through the Cars R’ Us car show were donated to various community organizations. $2,500 from TCU was shared with Handicapable Hands, Noble of Indiana, the Indianapolis Metro Police Department and the Beech Grove Police Department to support their Holiday outreach efforts for families and children. Sarah Fisher Racing played a big part in organizing the event, and TCU was proudly displayed on Indycar driver Ed Carpenter’s vehicle.
In a joint effort between TCU, 92.3 WTTS, The Marion County Public Library, a new program called Reading for Hope has been created. 92.3 WTTS is supporting the program through its multiple concert series throughout the year. Listeners are encouraged to donate books to receive discounted concert tickets, and those donating will be entered to win a variety of concert season-ticket packages. All of the proceeds and materials will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Central Indiana in an effort to raise literacy rates.
Every year, TCU supports the Make a Wish Foundation Radio-a-thon on 99.5 WZPL in Indianapolis. In 2011, the event, held over a 36 hour period, helped to raise more than $400,000 in donations to help grant the wishes of terminally-ill children.
TCU is presenting Lemonade Day, 2012, in Indianapolis to help raise awareness about the importance of financial education at a young age. Lemonade Day is an event designed to allow kids the opportunity to experience creating and owning a business, a lemonade stand, with the support of local businesses and financial institutions, including the Mayor of Indianapolis. TCU has been teaching classes on balancing budgets, revenue cycles and general banking skills.
