Everwise Credit Union FAQs

Teachers Credit Union (TCU) has served us well for more than 90 years. However, now that we’re a source of strength for people and businesses throughout the community, we need a name that conveys our commitment to serving everyone, no matter their background or profession. While we will always support teachers, the new Everwise name sets us up for continued growth and allows us to better meet the needs of all our members.

No. We’re the same people, now with a bigger purpose. We currently are and will remain 100 percent member owned. If anything, our new brand is meant to reinforce our unshakable commitment to all our members and communities.

As we grow, and as times continue to change, the needs of our members are constantly evolving. Reevaluating our brand will help us stay ahead of these needs and show up for our people, businesses, and communities in more meaningful ways.

Inspired by our educational roots, Everwise tells a bigger, bolder story. We’re always growing, always improving, always finding new ways to help you feel more in control of your money and your future.

Confidence changes everything. It’s as simple as that. We believe that when you’re confident in your finances, you feel more driven and capable in every aspect of your life.

Along with our name and tagline, you’ll see a full visual system come to life, including vibrant new colors, patterns, and photography. You may notice a renewed sense of confidence in our voice, as well.

All branding is being updated, which began with our website, online banking platforms and mobile apps, social channels, and advertising that were introduced on June 26. Throughout the summer, our signage and branches will be refreshed, as well.

Beyond having a clearer understanding of who we are and what we stand for – it won’t. The new Everwise brand will not impact your account information, how you access us, the processes you follow, or the level of service we provide. It also by no means suggests we’re abandoning our educational roots. We’re still committed to the entire community, teachers included, just as we always have been.

Our refreshed website, as well as online and mobile banking are now live. Personal banking members with an Android who have automatic updates enabled should see their current TCU Mobile Banking app update seamlessly to Everwise Mobile Banking. If automatic updates are not enabled, you will see a transition screen regarding the rebrand to Everwise.  In this case, go to the Google Play Store and search for Everwise Mobile Banking and click the update button. For members with automatic updates enabled on their iPhone, the TCU Mobile app should seamlessly update to Everwise Mobile Banking. If the app didn’t auto update, you will need to go to the Apple Store and search for Everwise Mobile Banking. You should see the option to “Open” the Everwise Mobile Banking app and then click “Update.”

Please note: You may need to need to 1) reboot your phone by turning it completely off and back on again or 2) delete the app and reinstall the new Everwise Mobile Banking app. If the old app is deleted, you will need all your login information to reinstall.

If Face/Fingerprint ID isn’t working to unlock the app, follow these steps:

  • Log in to the Everwise Mobile Banking App.
  • Click/tap on the hamburger menu in the top-right corner of the home screen.
  • Select "Security Settings."
  • To enable the Face ID Login or the Biometric Login, swipe the toggle switch from left to right.
  • Then enter your username and password credentials and follow the prompts.

Biometrics and/or facial recognition must be enabled in your phone's/device's overall settings to use this feature. Also, changing your username or password credentials may require you to re-enable your Face ID Login or Biometric Login within your Security Settings.

If you cannot access your online banking profile due to login issues, we recommend that you try resetting your password. If that does not work, please call Member Services at (800) 552-4745 so that they can verify your username or troubleshoot your access.

Sure will. New Everwise debit cards will begin to be reissued in July and credit cards are expected to begin being reissued in the next few months. Debit and credit card numbers will not change, but cards will include a new CVV and expiration date. If your current debit card is on file/saved with a merchant (Amazon, etc.), you should update the CVV and expiration date to ensure seamless transactions. Upon receiving a new debit or credit card, you should activate the card right away, and destroy the old card.

Of course. You’ll be able to continue using TCU checks until your supply runs out. Then you may order new Everwise checks, following the same process.

Yes. You will keep all your same banking information.
